"The Show Goes On" Lupe Fiasco

Boston.
Boston.

B o s t o n.

You. Own. My. Heart.

Am I disappointed with my time? YES.

Did I log WAY too many miles during the "taper" weeks? Ummmmm, YES. [76.5 miles from 4/11-4/16].

Do I know I played this right given my future plans for May 6th?

You
Bet
Cha.

3:23:59

I. Love. Boston.

you know that you will have another shot at Boston, and another and...ok you get it and maybe I'll be there to say "allez EMZ!" and you will go "who is this crazy woman in the Duke t-shirt?"

That time is fantastic :)
You are going to rock the treadmill 24 hour gig!

jymmebe said...

I'll say it again.

You had a better time than 1 of every 4 runners (25%) that entered from ACROSS THE WORLD.

Yeah, I can see how you'd be disappointed! ;)

It cracks me up that you are disappointed with a 3:23, while I am still jumping up and down about breaking four hours and getting a 3:57 on Saturday. LOL. You are awesome! So glad it was a great race, and your time is awesome.

Katie said...

CONGRATS! I was at the giant meet-up but didn't get to say hi....sad!

But Boston was just a training run for that BIG TREADMILL RUN you've got soon, wasn't it? Well done! It was a great time regardless.

Gracie said...

You are superwoman!

DRog said...

Way to go! Congrats on Boston...I think its pretty cool you rattled that off after the training week (month+) that you have had. Even more cool is your focus and drive for your run for Sojourner Center.

pretty sure boston doesn't want you to ever leave.

3:23 holy smokes thats fast woman.

u can blame your disappointing time on me and that last five of the fifty... ;)

have fun out there chica.

Silly Girl Running said...

And you looked great! Plus...3:23: I'd kill for that time. Yeah...no kidding. ;)

Shawn said...

Eureka moment...6:47 am

You scored a treadmill and a sponsor didn't you? How else could you be happy about not putting up your best number.....and the taper of huge miles and still running the marathon in that time was the perfect hook!

Brilliant strategy ...cause I think I'm right!!

Have a great day.

C2Iowa said...

Amazing you are.

Enough said.

Your PRs are
more than
just times
on a sheet
of paper.

I totally "get" your disappointment, but surely when you look at the total picture of what you are doing, and what you have done, you are PROUD, right?

Congrats EMZ!

Johann said...

Super time with all those miles in your legs! Congratulations! You are in great shape.

Matty O said...

no injuries. That's all that matters. It's just a time and for you to pull that off with the crowds and hills, I would say that was a success.

Holley @ Lunges and Lashes said...
