"Fit" - Better Than Ezra [PureFit Bar Review]

So you all know I don't do many reviews.  [In 2.5 years, I've done four]

I only agree to do a review if it's something I've been busting to try.

. . . . . . Enter. . . .  PureFit Bars.

I loved the fact that they are:

* all natural
* gluten free

and

* Wheat free
* dairy free

and

* vegan
* kosher
* high protein

and

* low-glycemic
* don't melt [super important in Arizona]

The nutritional profile . . freaking awesome.
The flavors . . . loved them .. . . . well minus the chocolate brownie.

Not a chocolate brownie fan.
My favorite . . . . . . Berry Almond Crunch.

Holy. Freaking. Yum.

I suck at eating right after my long runs and I did find these very easy to eat post run.  On the plus side, they go with pickle juice quite well. ;)

So given my pickle-meter . . .

I'd give these 4.5 out of 5 pickles.

QUESTION:

V-day plans?
Do you give your significant other a gift? or just a card?

I might have to try Pure Fit bars then!

Did you go to the Rugby Sevens USA again? That final was really exciting, NZ came all the way back and then lost in OT, great to watch!

I enjoyed them, too--even the chocolate brownie! :)

No plans for V-day here. We boycott that day!

I'll have to check these out!!

And no gifts this year for us...Hubby is out of town the next four months! We normally keep it low key anyhow!

I reviewed those also...and I liked the berry the best!

Ah Valentine....what to do what to do...I am so lame...I have nothing..I should get something..
Dark Choc Covered Cashews from Trader Joes...I think that would be a winner....and I could completly shock him and cook dinner....

Yes I enjoyed these and will be making them part of routine now :)

Sushi & wine with my honey for V-Day - for the most part I boycott this day.

Nearly bought some of these with a recent 50% off groupon, but my workouts are typically short enough to not require much in the way of nutritional support so I couldn't justify it when our finances have been less than ideal lately.

When we were dating (in college 91-95), I got my husband his annual hunting and fishing license and a card. Back then the combined license was like $9 and was about all I could afford. Now they are $19 (bought it today), but still cheap compared to so many other gifts out there. This will be the 20th time I've given him the same gift for V-day. :) Something he uses and will enjoy.

Love the nutritional info for those bars.
The hubs and I don't so a lot but we did exchange gifts this morning..and gave each other almost the exact same thing - chocolates and books on running/biking. We're geeks.

I saw the pickles and just threw up a little.

Roses. The ball is in her court now, think she is making dinner tonight :)

Didn't get him a card yet.

I am taking an extra day off work to extend our weekend together. After a couple weeks with little kid free time, I don't think he will care about a card. ;-)

Pickle-Meter: Hilarious

Chocolate Brownie: Not so much

And I read V-Day as VD-Day....why would I read it that way? WTF is wrong with me?

After my long run, I eat really bad, but it feels so good.

V-Day: Surprised her at work and took her out to lunch. We are not big on V-Day because we feel it's more of a Hallmark thing, and we don't need a special day to remind us of our love - This should be everyday.
