"Hard To Handle" - The Black Crowes

Six.

Six. times.

Six. times. in. one. [very early] shower.

I
dropped
the
soap.

And even crazier - I actually counted.

I'm totally doing this to my soap tonight.

But

I still have not found any solutions to this.

Every. freaking. morning.

This morning's failed attempt was at a power of 60%

So I did what any other [lazy] person would have done.

Jealous?  Was way yummier than oatmeal anyway.  DRog - I did take the cheese off.  So I'm good, right?!

A few other tid-bits.

*  I need a new nickname for Mooshy Jamoosh.  Ask him [not me] why.

*  Only my kido would yell out [from bed] at 6:40 this morning, "Good morning star-shine!  The earth says hello!" Completely scared the crap out of me.

*  Kera's marathon is today.  Click here and wish her a rockin' race!

* Nope.  I'm not a "kiwi" [New Zealander].  But I married a pretty big one.

* Mel-Bird.  LOVE this Aussie.  [IMNZ in 40 days-she rocks.]

She asked yesterday, "Does the Pita still talk with that funny NZ accent?"
[Answer]  only on words with "a" 's like:
dAnce = donce
rAnch = ronch.  which is super hilarious at a restaurant.

When the Pita first came to the USA - people kept asking if he was an "Aussie" [which . . .  to a NZealander is like . . . . well . . . . bad] so he lost the accent.  real.  quick.

Happy Friday!

And a HUGE

Thank you for yesterday's comments.

you. guys. rock.

Good heads up that NZlanders don't like being called Aussies! Who knew?!

Now everyone will be sending you soap-on-a-rope. heehee

Enjoy the weekend.

I love that you actually counted how many times you dropped the soap. Only you.

And yum! English muffin sandwich beats oatmeal every time!

Happy Friday girl!

Well, except my comment yesterday. But the good news is, every comment after that was special!

I have to clean the micro every morning because of that.

Go Friday

Gracie said...

My oatmeal always does that, too. I gave up on oatmeal. I'd rather not eat breakfast and not have to clean my microwave. Yes, that is super lazy!
Peanut CRACKS ME UP!

My father in law is from New Zealand...so this totally made me chuckle..

Hope you dont mind but I posted a photo of you on my Blog today :)

Microwave messes are so not fun! And oatmeal becomes like concrete when it dries... extra not fun!

Happy Friday, Star-shine! Peanut really has the right idea! Good girl!

And can I just say how much I LOVE this bit of filler ;-)

Yay! I'm not the only one who has trouble with microwaves!

Exploded tomato soup
Exploded oatmeal
Exploded a Starbucks thermos (oops, should have read directions more carefully)
Caught butter on fire (I was softening it for 5 seconds but didn't take off the tin foil wrapper)
Caught a cookie on fire (One of those ready to bake ones- apparently they can ONLY be baked)

So embarrassing, especially because for the most part, I'm an excellent chef.

Me + bars of soap = no good. Bodywash baby!

Peggy said...

Body wash is the way to go! Good thing you're not in prison because the soap-dropping would not go over well =)

Jenn said...

Ha ha on the soap! Definitely can't help you with the oatmeal dilemma. Don't try heating a boiled egg in there.....

I just read yesterday's post. Simply awesome!!!

Anne said...

My mouth is watering from looking at that breakfast...mmmmm

Your random tidbits always make me smile.

Oh and so did the yaktrax for your soap :)

Happy Friday EMZ! I love that Peanut greeting the earth in the a.m.!! haha!

That's a good looking breakfast. The sandwich, not the oatmeal. Oatmeal makes my mouth sad - a 'texture foul' as my wife calls it.

Just read your post from yesterday, and I'm saddened a bit by the 'filler' comment about your posts. Too many people don't have a 'passion' and you've clearly got your family as a 'passion' that resides between the times where you run, yet another 'passion'. These posts aren't filler, they're life, and I appreciate the candor and the humor. All run and no 'life' makes for a dull existence. One of my favorite parts of Good Will Hunting is when Robin Williams' character is talking about what he remembers about his wife and talks about the idiosyncrasies and how people call them imperfections, but they're actually the good stuff. You share that good stuff every time you post, and that's what keeps so many people coming back.

ETR - I love your comment. thank you. I always loved that part from GWH. [no shock there]. :) thank you.

Mell TallMom - mind? I'm so freaking happy. This is like red carpet Friday!

Peggy - hilarious.

Gracie - thanks for your comment. She's one special Peanut.

Termite - and you run a 3:16. man, I'm doing this all wrong.

Happy Friday from me also. And in response to yesterday's post, I think that at 395 followers, and
50+ comments every day, that "filler" entries are working for you. I don't understand why you can't do both, of course you can, write about life AND be a serious runner. That's why you appeal to runners and nonrunners, you've got it all. Great to see you and the Mr. at the store the other day.

Damn that oatmeal!
Happy Friday girl!

Thank god you are not in prison or at boy scout camp.

I once caught lima beans on fire reheating them in the microwave. Few things worse than a microwave mess. Happy Friday!

McD's looks WAY yummier than oats.

Maybe you need to work on your breakfast presentation? ;)

Thanks for intorducing me to Kera - just spent way too much time wandering around her blog. She's fantastic!

Christi said...

Your egg McMuffin looks way better than the oatmeal!

Have a great Friday!

Shawn said...

I agree with Patrick....most guys NEVER drop the soap!

Also...was there something about Pita not liking 2 stepping...ronch doncing?

Julie @ HotlegsRunner said...

that used to happen to my oatmeal too when I would set it to two minutes. At 1 minute and 30 seconds on high, it's just perfect. =)

But who cares...I'd rather have that McMuffin! :p

Jason said...

I didn't rock yesterday b/c for some odd reason I did not come by here. WTH?

Anyway for yesterday -- you not a real/serious runner? I guess she did not see the double finger salute?

Besides a running blog would look like this:
1- Ran 6 miles in 32 minutes. Felt great.
2- Ran 4 mils in 32 minutes. Felt awesome.

That is BORING. I want to know that behind the awesome running times is a real person and that is you.

Today's post -
Love peanuts morning shout-out. LOVE IT. Using it tomorrow.

Go get the oatmeal I reviewed. It is called OatFit. The package is the container for water as well so you can't go wrong. 90 seconds and its perfect.

The fold in wheat germ, ground flax, dried fruit, banana and holy yummy goodness.

You Rock!

Don't drop the soap if you ever end up in a prison shower :D Or is that rule for dudes in prison only?

Sarah said...

Breakfast sandwiches are way better than oatmeal. Peanut is hilarious.

Caratunk Girl said...

Oh man. I eat oatmeal every day but that sandwich just made me drool.

Love the Peanut shout out!!

You are awesome. Seriously.

haha thanks for addressing my question about whether you were from New Zealand or not! That country is just gorgeous, the friendliest people that I've ever met have been from New Zealand or Ireland =) Aussies were nice too!

Hi EMZ, now that Kovas and I have buried the hatchet and rekindled our Bromance I thought I'd check out some of his Peep's Blogs :-)

I had also heard that you have killer abs and wanted to check them out.

Maybe you can come and run the 50K "big boy" race with me in April while the others run their little Marathon.

Getting a little behind on reading, but I read this post and your Thursday's post today.

Love your yesterday's post. Love your so called "filler posts."
Those fillers are the gems.

Continue posting the way you are.
Even.
If.
It.
Means.
Doing.
This.

Whatever that rocks your boat.
Do.It.

(How do you even type like that? This goes to show that there's is only on EMZ around.)

Christina said...

one EMZ.
See, I can't type!

Porridge is so much nicer out of a saucepan on a stove anyway :) or should that be a socepan, ha ha ha!!

Barbie said...

The only way I stop the porridge overflow is by adding cold water instead of warm/hot water before it goes in the microwave - it has never done it since.

O.k. so my daughter has said the exact same phrase. Did that come from a book or a show or something? Too weird.
Oatmeal is only good with blueberries but it makes an even more colorful mess to clean up afterwards.
My hubby lived in NZ for a couple of years. Loved it. Loves the people. Loves the accent.
Have a great day! How can you not with a yummy start like that!

Don't ever do anything you could go to prison for.

Donce...lol...reminds me of the Zack and Cody where Landon's boyfriend tries to talk like he's rich

Char said...

Talking about accents - I can't believe that the Aussies were subtitled on Oprah in her down-under specials. I thought we spoke the same language.

Anonymous said...

haha, Peanut is funny, that would scare the crap out of me too!! You earned every bit of that breakfast sandwich!

Johann said...

Ha, wait till you hear my South African accent! At least they won't think I'm an Aussie.
