Almost at 600 followers.

Who's gonna be 600?  Love it.

A few happenings from the last 24 hours.

Awesome.  Urban Running: Blogger Summit.  You can check it out [Here]

What would you want to hear me talk about [at this "summit"]?

Sorry.  I'm talking about the relationship between scorpions and humans in November.

But I'm doing all the research now . . . . .

you see it was scorpion "feeding" time at our home yesterday.

[full disclosure this is the Pita's "thing" so NOT mine]

So gross.  But oddly kinda cool too.

Ya, that cricket . . . . . he didn't make it.

But we did see this while home hunting on Sunday

I.  think. it's. awesome.

ok.
now
one

and
the
madness
w i l l
end.

Last day to vote!  PLEASE.  [pretty please] vote for me [here].

Thank you!

What's one odd/unusual/awesome thing you did or saw over the weekend?

We saw a nice lookin' herd of buffalo on our ride and we reminded them that we would be having buffalo steaks once we finished. I don't think they enjoyed that thought much!

No live animals this weekend, but something was definitely alive in our bird feeder. I had been putting off pulling it down and cleaning it - it's been empty for weeks, but the rain looked like it might let up, so I thought I should take care of business. When I saw what was growing inside of it, I almost threw up. It must have been some type of mold, but it looked like long long black hair...at first I thought it was a weird dead rat or something. NASTY!! I'll take living critters over THAT any day!

Yup, you're scared. Even knowing I signed up for the California International Marathon, you still opted for RnR LV.

Vote for me, too!!!

I'll be glad when I can stop bugging people :)

A small tornado struck near my girls' school over the weekend and did some crazy damage to some buildings and home of a friend. We went and checked it out afterwards.

The snakes and scorpions on your blog lately are creeping me out! Seriously sends shivers down my spine.

Rock n roll Las Vegas has all the makings of a super unique run this year! Should be fun!

this scorpion thing is freaky, but I want to read more? What does that make me?

Scorpions. Freak. Me. Out.

We've got a Bearded Dragon, but can't do snakes.

I voted already.

According to the Google Reader feed I get of your blog, you've got 715 followers :-)

I'm so totally working on RnR LV. Would be so fun. Gotta figure out my finals schedule first and then I'm in!! Fun!!

ick! I don't like scorpions! We have small ones around here but it's very rare that we see them.

An odd thing I did this weekend, I ate sugar cookies and skittles for my carbo load the night before my 10k...not the best idea.;)

I need to see confirmation of registration for LB!!!

so how does that work ... the scorpion comes to eat a bite of the cucumber and then you crush it with a lava rock?

That is great that you are going to be speaking at the blogger conference. Honestly you are the main person that I would want to hear talk - I would love to hear you talk about your 24 hour treadmill experience. I bet people would love to hear about that.

The scorpions on your blog seriously freak me out, I couldn't live in AZ because of them! haha

Most interesting thing this past weekend that I witnessed was the beer mile, I'll do a post on it soon, haha

I want to head to Vegas so badly--poor hubby doesn't seem to want to spend our holiday this year in Vegas with a bunch of blogger women. I have NO idea why. Clearly a dream vacation for him.

I saw the sun. Does that count as something out of the ordinary? haha

Thanks again to both you and Peanut for the shirt! Totally going to rock it out at my tri expo on Saturday.

Ii think that humans and scorpions would make an excellent topic for a running seminar. Seriously, if I saw a scorpion I'd probably break a few PRs.

House hunting? Are you moving?

Richelle said...

Thank you SO much for the RUN EMZ shirt! I received it in the mail today, and I love the notes from you and Peanut. :)

I guess reptiles and insects are the price u pay for gorgeous sunny weather.

Ummm u should just share an itemized daily list of everything u do and eat to be so fabulous. Seriously.

And rnrlv, huh. Guess I better sign up....

Ick! I had too many encounters with scorpions as a kid - lots of ER visits.

Prairie dogs rock! So that was our unusual sight of the weekend. Yay for the R&R. I so want to run Vegas before we leave this side of the country.

Are you one of the speakers at the summit- that's pretty cool! Yeah, I voted for you even though I'm one of your "competitors". :)

I have been following you for a couple months...you are a huge motivation to say the least. I can honestly say "You freakin got this" helped me through my half marathon this weekend! Thanks!

Uhhh! I just can't decide on Vegas!! It was supposed to be my first full last year, but decided to wait for this year and now I'm torn! AGGHH!
I once saw a snake eating a frog although I didn't know what it was at first because I was mowing and thought it was a crazy lizzard of some sort. Nearly wet myself that day.

I woke up to a scorpion crawling on my leg when I was in Big Bend, TX a thousand years ago with geology field camp - I have been in therapy ever since!
