"Black & Yellow" - Wiz Khalifa

okay.
truth.
time.

I'm lacking time today.

I think this belt buckle might be weighing me down.  You must check out this post.

Way too awesome.

Got 13 miles in this morning [87% happy with it].  Thanks to the song above [clean version] - this song is working for me right now.
The 13% of unhappy was mostly due to the guilt I felt while running with my Peanut awake and it's "girl's day" today.

So quick post and we will be off.

Got this yesterday from my friend Judi . . . Thought this was hilarious [so I'm sharing it].

Truths For Adults

1. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

2. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

3. There is great need for a blogging sarcasm font.

4. How the heck are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

5. Was learning cursive really necessary?

6. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

7. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

8. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

9. Bad decisions make good stories.

10. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment, when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

11. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

12. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

13. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.  *****

14. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with a beverage than Kay.

15. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

16. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

17. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

18. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in the front.

19. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

20. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

21. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important.

Happy Tuesday!!

SERIOUSLY! How do you fold a fitted sheet? I sort-of roll it up in a ball and hope it doesn't fall off the shelf.

Is it bad if this hits me when I wake up in the morning?! Having one of those days. Loved the list.

Kate said...

I keep numbers in my cell phone so I don't answer when they call! Sometimes I even store them as DON'T PICK UP, haha!

I loved the list!

I felt that same "guilt" when I had to run while I was home for such a short time seeing my family. :-/ I think they love us and understand. (at least I hope so!)

I always know when #10 will happen, it's when my computer finishes booting up at work.

Andrew Opala said...

I don't understand #21

Rose said...

Martha Stewart taught me how to fold a fitted sheet. That bitch is awesome.

Not as awesome as this list, which I just copied and emailed to a few of my friends. Oh man. I was nodding the whole time.

Especially the always tired one. When did that start? In college I could stay up until 4am and ace a test the next morning. Now, even on 8 solid hours of sleep I sit at my desk needing to pee for WAY too long before I get up the gumption to actually leave my chair and do it.

Shawn said...

They make helmuts for your head? Probably just a fad..like that computer thing!!!

Have safe and HAPPY HAPPY holidays EMZ....al the best in 2011

They were ALL right on! RIGHT. ON.

I also think your new follower is Jamoosh incognito as he has that pose down pat!!!

Emz said...

Shawn. Hilarious. Mooshy will love that.

Slomohusky said...

who ends at 21? apparently an ongoing list? unless you are a dude with 100 years passing without knowledge of #21?

really? the ducks?

Slomohusky said...

does #13 apply to texts as well? maybe #3 covers that? have a great day!

Karine said...

I'm sure Martha Stewart learned how to fold a fitted sheet from me....just sayin!

Great list. Girl's day and I wasn't invited. I'll make up for it on Wednesday.

Nice! Great start to "2 more days of work before xmas!"
I'm going to steal it and stick it on my wall to remind me I'm not the only one who gets #10.....and #7 is a creepy one that I've thought as well......#9 I bet all those people travelling in Europe are xmas are thinking :)

Teamarcia said...

Yay for girls' day! Don't feel guilty about the 13. That's (relatively) short + you're speedy so just a blip in time.
Love the list--so true!

Jason said...

Would it surprise you if I told you I know how to fold a fitted sheet? Karen doesn't and just hands them to me because in my OCD mind I can't stand the roll and stuff method and I fold ALL the sheets in my house.

Enjoy the Peanute/Gals day....we don't do it enough so enjoy it while you can. That is just so awesome.

Great list and I am in awe of Q. First the whole rap and then the BAA jacket on Santa. That is just super-duper-clever.

Mel -Tall Mom on the Run said...

That list is CLASSIC.. Laughing, thank you!!!

#4, 6, 10 and 16 are sooo true..

Hugs! Mel

I always thought fitted sheets were to be wadded and tossed in the corner.

That list is perfect!

As for the blogging sarcasm font... I find just laying it on SO thickly that no one could possibly think you are serious sometimes work.

Still... many of my friends drink heavily.

Kevin and Kim Partridge said...

I have always agreed with #7, and since you will be bringing me my Stairway to Heaven muffin, you have to promise me to put how I died in my obituary, ESPECIALLY if it is something freaky. Or you can make up something, like, cause of death: overdose on diet Pepsi.

XLMIC said...

At my kids' school they start learning cursive in kindergarten and are expected to have mastered it by the end of first grade... silly europeans!

I LOVED this list!

Black Knight said...

I agree with the list. Thanks for the laugh.
Happy Christmas to you and family from Italy.

That is a wonderful thing and when PNUT is older, she will look back and treasure those days with you :)

I simply cannot relate to #1. I am NEVER wrong and if this were to EVER happen, I would NEVER acknowledge it or admit it.

truth is funny:)

Pam said...

Those are the most truthful truths I've ever heard! LOL

I relate to #1 more than I'd like to admit. Smartphones are the best argument solvers ever. Just Monday night, D and I were arguing at the Mexican restaurant about who sang what song, and GONE are the days of having to wait until I get home to prove him wrong! Now with our Droids I can do it right then and there! Or vice versa in this situation, but whatev.

#s 3, 4, 10, 12, and 13 also hit a little close to home.

Jon said...

OH I love it!!! The last one on your list reminds me of another one:

"The male species only has enough blood to operate one brain or the other."

Don't worry about after Blu-Ray. Its the last of the "physical" media. Its all going to be digital download or streaming from here on out.

Tara said...

1) Love that song!
2) Love that list!
