Smile - Uncle Cracker

Today, I love this song.

Went to visit with my parents on Saturday. [the homemade bread was just a fortunate "plus"].

My mom told me there were a few things for me on the bed in one of the spare bedrooms.

They made me smile.

This photo. Which I adore.
I love that we did this.
Me and my "circle of friends".

This photo from Peanut's Baby Shower.  Yes, still PLENTY of the 28 lbs I gained during pregnancy lingering, 3 weeks later [apparently ALL in my face].

This photo of me, S & K. [ My cousins.]

This sunset captured from my backyard Saturday night.

Leave Friday for Utah --- not really sure how this marathon is going to go.  Was training for a 3:15 marathon but . . . . . after being sick, yada, yada, yada ....... I seriously, have no clue where my body, legs and heart will take me.  But I'll take it. :)

Happy Monday.

I have a feeling you'll still get that 3:15. You're rockstar like that.

Ah, I have always loved this picture of us. Cute friends (some tanner than others), wearing our man shirts. Thanks for scanning it. I'll have to steal it as a profile picture somewhere.

I should have asked earlier, but do you need a place to stay? You're welcome here. If you find yourself with extra time, we'd love to meet you for dinner or something.

Fun flashback photos!

Love how Peanut is looking up at you in that one picture.

You are going to rock it in Utah, I just know it. Whether the clock says 3:15 or not.

I love all those photos. I love going back and looking at old photos. Brings back lots of memories.

Good luck on your race! I'm sure you'll rock it!

I love little surprised like that!
And 28 lbs?? That's NOTHING compared to the 40+ lbs. I gained!
Good luck in your race! You are going to do great!

Aha, I see a clue to how you lost your baby fat so fast...Look at the picture at the baby shower. On your plate I see 2 carrots, 2 cucumbers,5 nuts, 1 olive, 1/2 tablespoon dip and 1 cheez cracker. The weight dropped quickly when you eat that kind of party food. I remember my plate having cake, cookies, etc. You both look darling (round face and all)!

Very cool little flag outfit on Peanut. Don't make excuses almost a week before the marathon! You will do fine, just like you know you can.

BNZ-I wish I was in contention for "prize" money on this one.

Marlene - :) comment made me smile.

SU&R - Me TOO. Her little Ewok face. I do adore that "look".

Rae-couldn't agree more.

Aimee - too funny. I don't barefoot run like you though. You are so incredible.

MY mom- loved your comment. loved your bread too. I would have had some of THAT on my plate if it would have been there that day.

Great photos! You are so going to rock that marathon...have a blast! :)

Kovas - I know. I know. Thank you for calling me out. [seriously]. No excuse is a good one. "BUCKLE" up buttercup!

Best of luck in your race. If you were training for a 3:15, then you'll do a 3:15. Haven't seen any evidence to the contrary in any of your prior posts. You're going to kill it. Or, in the spirit of the 80s mix from my run this morning that my brain will not let go of, you're going to "smack it up, flip it, rub it down".

Love those pictures. And you're worried about not making your 3:15? HA! I'm hoping I can squeeze by with a sub-2 hour HALF this coming weekend, but after my crappy training I'm not holding my breath. You blow my mind.

You'll rock that mary -- sometimes a few days down does the body good. Very cool pic! Don't ya love it when you go to see your parents and they always have "things" for you to take? My mother is always nice about and says stuff like, "I thought you might want this!" -- which I always tell her she really means, "Please remove this shit from my house...now!"

You look beautiful in that picture and your daughter is adorable!

My daughter has that song in steady rotation right now.

What a great friends picture! And I love the pic of tiny baby Peanut, she's looking at you with the most adoring expression...love it!

THose are super fun pictures...I'm sure the memory gates were flooded!!

Your cold was a minor set-back...and probably did your body more good than you'll ever realize to rest it! Utah, here you come...and watch out cuz you're going to be flying!!!

RobinLK said...

I suspect your *heart* will take you farther than you expect, and everything else will be along for the ride .... Good Luck, but more importantly, HAVE FUN!

LOVE the photos ~ did you hear the 'aaawww...!" all the way from Orlando as I looked at them? Awesome.

*hugs*

(doing my own sick thing here in FL... in bed x 3? days now... and counting...) ugh.

Hope you feel better!! I love the picture with you & my K and S! The occasion was K's baptism in Tucson. Grandpa Allen performed the baptism and every member of our family (at the time) was there. It was a really lovely occasion. I love how happy you look and how you're holding hands. 1983, if memory serves! XXOO
