"Which Describes How You're Feeling" -TMBG + winners

Wacky weekend . . has left me feeling a little like this song.

Here's a few photos.

Peanut got a sweet photo [that she didn't want] with the Phoenix Suns Gorilla.

Our best IKEA photo . . . how can I love one place at the start & hate it by the time we reach the lighting department?

Fine.  The reason.  I.  Had.  A.  CutTongue. [I hate the way that word looks/is spelled].

What?  You know you lick the last bit of dairy goodness out of the plastic container too.  I'm just the stupid one who will actually admit it.

Sorry Angie - I went with these shoes for church yesterday.  [and yes, I'm completely aware that I could probably play basketball with my toes.]

Maybe I should have gone with the others.  The ladies that sit in the back row in the chapel.  Ya.  They.  Were.  Not.  Amused.  So I made sure I walked by twice.  No verbal comments but if their looks had action movements attached to them. .  .  .  .

I'm pretty sure I'd have two black eyes & a broken rib.

So, yes, I am wearing them next week.

Now . . . . .

On to our winners!!

Sorry guys.  We have two women winners today!

A LA Random.org :

Karen R. - that black trench . . . in your last post . . . . love it!!!

A N D

Kate [don't worry Kate, you don't really have to wear it in your race, just because you won.  Just don't clean your floors with it and I'll be happy.]

Please email me [click] and let me know your size and address.

You look at least 18 feet tall in that photo. There is no way the ladies in the back are going to mess with you - what where they planning to jump you in the parking lot?

did I get first? Oh snap!!

Try walking up to the front pew right during the annoucements with all the look of Grace Kelly - except wearing those fantastic shoes! Keep them on their (or your) toes EMZ!

Oh girl those ladies in the back are just JEALOUS! LOOKATCHOO! And presumably they couldn't even see your abs?

Oh lawd - I didn't win? I'm gutted. And I have a funny feeling Santa is not paying attention to shipping deadlines this year and will be caught short ONCE AGAIN! Thank god I will see you in Boston..

Padded yogurt container rims. Nuff said.

And I have no idea how you got a Google Maps shot of your shoes. Incredible…satellites these days.

Jen said...

Love your shoes and that yogurt! Nice to know where the tongue cut came from! And I'm sure those church ladies are just jealous!

Teamarcia said...

Envious. you know they are. And how did you get an Ikea pic with only 2 peeps in it? Our Ikea is solid sardine packed people at all hours of every day.

Anna Walker said...

That pizza looked disgusting! But I like the song and it's quite catchy! :)

I have to tell you, hubs and I were at your most favorite store (HD) on Friday and as we made our way up and down endless aisles trying to find (and figure out!) what we need, all I could think was "no wonder Emz hates this place!" At least I wasn't alone with a confusing list.....

Congrats to the K's on the win!

Running a marathon yesterday was exciting. Knowing I didn't miss an EMZ post this weekend makes it even better.

I think I got nose-bleed from that picture of your shoes. How high up are we there?

KovasP said...

So is tongue as bad as panties?

(Wow, this comment can be read SO many fun ways!)

Rae said...

Those ladies were just jealous cause they would never be able to rock those shoes like you do!

Big Daddy Diesel said...

Thanks for your words on todays comment, Sometimes I forget the bigger picture

OHHHHHH BTW we are on the same group for xmas cards from the Runners Luck card exchange, how cool is that

play basketball with your toes! love it, haha! only because I could do the same with mine :P

ps. peanut totally rocks the gorilla picture.

JohnP said...

oh, I think we should start a therapy group or something for people who's big toe is not really their big toe. Look at the length of that sucker! It's a good 20% longer than the 'big' one. lol :)

My wife teases me all the time. :(

Laurie said...

I love that you walked by twice. Awesome.

At least the tongue injury was going after the last of some yogurt rather than some Haagen-dazs. The relentless pursuit of health ... or something like that.

I thought Israel and Pakistan were at odds, but never realized the holy war waging on Sundays over footwear. Sometimes I'm glad to be a blissfully ignorant guy when it comes to fashion. Even when I'm not glad, I'm still ignorant, so I've got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Jill said...

Those chicks were just envious!!
Sorry to the loser MEN today!! Bahahah!

ShutUpandRun said...

Yeah right about the yogurt.

Those ladies need to get a life. Maybe you should secret Santa them and give them each a pair for Christmas.

I've never stepped foot in Ikea. True story.

Melissa Cunningham said...

Johnp. Hilarious. The pita always makes fun of my second toe.

Jess @ Blonde Ponytail said...

Ha! the gorilla is totally invading Peanut's space bubble!

And, you rock those heels! Blue-haired ladies are just jealous they can't!!

Emz said...

Shelly& Jason. Cracking up. I wish.

Peanut looks like she about to run the heck away from that gorilla .. I'd run away! Did she run?

Emz said...

I WON!!?! I never win anything!!! This is the most exciting day!

I won the coolest T-Shirt from my FAVORITE blogger! :) I will be having an entire photo shoot in this shirt FYI. Watch out!

Emz said...

Kate-yay!!!! :)

Patrick. By the way. I. Am. 18' tall.

Adrienne said...

Hey at least the ladies look at you at church. They see me heading their way and they avoid eye contact and head the other direction. They know I'm going to ask them to teach because someone suddenly got "sick" 2 minutes before church started. Plus if they are on the back row they aren't really that righteous enough to pass that kind of judgement.....hee hee. You know I'm teasing.
Peanut is a good sport. I go in Ikea all excited and always come out empty handed...it confuses me.

Anonymous said...

Ha, I love it! Stir it up! I'm not even going to mention that Dash may have a collar that quite possibly match those shoes. Should they be worn together might really enliven those church ladies glares. That's making me laugh, just thinking about it. Good thing I'm not going to mention it.

Peanut does not looked pleased to be seen with Harry the Hairy Ape.

Emz said...

Dash. Awesome. I may get kicked out of church all together with a collar. ;)

Char said...

I've managed to cut my tongue on the foil lids of yoghurt tubs in the past. You know you shouldn't do it - that there is a risk involved - but in the end you just can't help yourself.

DRog said...

The Gorilla, all Santa's in malls....and any other costumed adult that has children in their lap or hugs kids = creepy. hand over shoulder is tolerable I guess.

Im goin deep on the treadmill this month...I can do it I can do it I can do it EMZ can do it I can do it

I might have to run long outside first to at least make sure I get a long run in:) but you have me motivated to post up a long TM run...

D

Emz said...

DRog. Do. It. !! You've freaking got it!

Amy said...

I love Ikea, but have learned only to go there alone, go straight to the section I need, and get out. It saves my wallet and my sanity.

Jen Feeny said...

I love you more that you wore them to church. You rebel! LOL!

Shawn said...

Do you have those shoes in RED???...can you say SATAN!!!!

A yogurt thing???? I had a vision of our cats trying to get wet cat food out of the container...hilarious as they push it across the floor till it hits the wall and does not move anymore...good thing you live in the desert...if you were around here, you'd be one of the kids licking the frozen post and then be stuck there till the teacher comes and saves you!!! note to EMZ...stay away from the cactus!!! hahaha made my day

Jenn said...

Peanut needs a little photoshop caption above her head that says "Seriously, Mom" Ha!

Ah-you make me laugh. Hope the tongue is healing. Tongue tongue tongue. Yes, something just not right with that word...

Sarah said...

I'm in love with Ikea when I look at their catalog. Then I go there and I want to die. :P

Cute photo with the Gorilla!

XLMIC said...

I not only have a collar but a belt, chains and a cat o' nine tails (from my pregnant dominatrix halloween costume) that might work well with the shoes... but the church ladies might faint dead away. You can borrow if you'd like ;-)

Be good to your tongue... you only have one tongue.

Congrats to the winners!!!

Silly Girl Running said...

Hahahahaha! Yay on huge toes/feet! :) I can actually pick up items from the floor with my hugy Dutch feet! ;)

Silly Girl Running said...

And I really wanted that t-shirt... :( I never win anything...booohooooo

Angie said...

HAHAHAHA-i totally lick yogurt containers when no one is looking. Also- those were a great choice for church. Apparently my ward has gotten desensitized or something because I barely get any reaction at all any more. Perhaps I'm not trying hard enough?

Emz said...

Angie. Perhaps I should send you a pair.

Molly said...

I agree with J, your legs are so long you look like the Statue of Liberty.

Matty O said...

HOLD UP... peanut goes to school with a gorilla??? Why has this NEVER been reported before?

Loved the church lady comments. I find it funny, our church, people wear browns jerseys in the fall and winter and shorts and flip flops in the summer. We are a very strict church too which is why I find it hilarious that people go like that. Oh well, to each their own... I dress nicer than I do for work typically :)

Karen R said...

I won!! Yay! Merry Christmas to me :)

Amanda@runninghood said...

this is hilarious...your church shoes and the ladies that were not amused. Too funny! Way to strut your stuff!

Annie said...

Those shoes are AWESOME!

Emz said...

Annie. Psssttt. Want a pair? ;)
