Cure For The Itch - Linkin Park

So this dang race has left me with a mighty itch.

So at noon, I finally got out of my PJ's [what?!  When would you take off your PJ's if you worked from home?] . . . and I got my little cowgirl self into this . .

Wait for it . . .

Wait for it . . . . . .

Ahhh, heck ya.  Now, my day can officially start.

But the weirdest thing happened.

After I wore it at lunch [with my favorite Julie], I started itching.  Head scratching.  nervous shakes, twitching and I once again found myself here. [click].

Then I looked back on the emails from this morning from "RL".  And I had to look at this again.

[drooooooool]

Here's a youTube video from last year. [click]

Okay, so what could be more romantic than celebrating your 12th anniversary while [one of you is] running?!

I don't think I can can't wait until next year.

Ummm, help.

So what's more romantic than crewing for your wife at a 100 mile race? Only greeting her at the finish with an ice bath and a bottle of champagne.

sounds like heaven to me! ;-)

enjoy and cheers!

This is how it goes--a 5k leads to a 10k, which leads to a 1/2 marathon, etc., etc. Never say never, right?

Something tells me you and that belt buckle have a date.

you know this is how it works - I just did a 5k and I already looked twice at a 54 mile race in Nunavut in the Canadian Arctic!

It's all EMZ fault and all those "161" I wrote on my stuff!

Nuts. Just nuts.

Those kind of itches don't just go away. you're terminal now, and my thoughts are with you.

I love that the buckles are motivation! Accessories and adornments may be my new motivation to catch up to your crazy mileage races too :)

Keep on running and rocking the buckles!

Kovas - he has 874 things that he thinks would be way more romantic-ER. Go figure.

I think the Pita is just going to have to get used to the new you...these things are now embedded in you :). For better or worse....

I like that they have a 75k. Maybe I'll do that. Ok...I'll do the 100K, twist my arm.

Wow.

Do those buckles say 100 miles?!?!

It makes me hurt just thinking about it. : O You could totally do it though. :-D

I can't think of a better way to celebrate an anniversary! What is our "anniversary" of our first meeting? We can do a rim to rim to rim to celebrate it. That's only about fifty miler.

Zaneta @ Runner's Luck said...

lovely buckle! :D 100 miles is seriously a lot! lol... but if anyone can do it you can! :D

holidays are overrated including anniversaries. We celebrate everyday! Run that race and get another buckle and then have several anniversaries or more later, or before you are too tired to move!!!
Cheers girlie!

Haha! I think you've been bit by the bug..bit hard!

I have no doubt that you WILL do a 100miler one day...just not sure when that'll be- sooner than later? :)

I love it! I'm sure it would be a great way to prove your love after 12 years too... being a sherpa! :)

Yep, you're crazy. But we knew that. You're still super bad-ass.

By the way, the Fort Worth Marathon gives belt buckles... and I don't have to run an ultra. ;-) I'll be taking the easy way out.

Yup, you are crazy. But I mean that in the most flattering of ways!

It's sounding more and more like you need an intervention. Seriously, have your blisters even healed from the last one?

I would probably do the same thing, so sign up for that 100 miler! ;)

Nice bling!

Have no doubt that you'll knock out a hundred - by sheer force of will if nothing else.

How has the aftermath of a 50 compared to the marathons? Just the thought of a 50 gets my orthopedist drooling.

So what you are saying is that the mystical bar has been raised a notch huh?

Be glad you don't have to deal with crazy ass cold weather like us, makes year round running more of a job than an enjoyment ;)

Keep your head up and I think some Gold Bond medicated powder might cure that itch =D

Get this girl some ointment.

And 100 seems so small compared to your super powers. Isn't there a run to the North Pole or something like that? Something worth a buckle?

Johann said...

Oh yes, I love this! I know quite a few JJ100 runners and they all rave about it. Haha, you’ve been bitten and infected…there is no cure…

Your Man Against Horse buckle looks great! And how funny you're already being taunted by other buckles. ;)

Your husband should love that idea! Think of it. After being out there doing your fav thing - running, he will greet you are the finish with a ice bath. then not only will you be wanting to crawl into bed because you are cold, you'll be to tired to run away from him. just sayin'

Marlene said...

Ohhhh no!

One of the ladies I train with ran her first 50-miler last year and when she was telling us about it, she said that she finished and saw so many runners heading out back for a second loop for the 100, and suddenly it didn't seem like such a big deal! Sure enough, she went on to complete her first 100-miler this year!

Crazies, all of ya! ;)

I love it, you're going to start a giant belt buckle collection. Are you sure you aren't secretly a Texan?

Love the buckle...of course, I AM a Texan. LOL
