"It's All I can Do" - Cars

It's all I can do. [random fact posts]

But this time I was asked to.  Thanks "Goose" for the Versatile Blogger award.

[funny fact . . . google "versatile blogger" then go to the Images tab ---- enjoy.  You can thank me later.  So funny.  Okay, probably just didn't get out today but it cracked me up.]

I liked this one best.

Versatile?!  Not so sure.

Anyway.

Seven more tender, juicy bits of knowledge about me you [never] wanted to know.

1.  I hate this crease on my arm.  I sleep with my arm under the Pita's pillow [which HE hates, hates, hates] so that the crease won't get creas-ier.

2.  My mom is famous.  Here's their blog.  One day I'll convert her to blogspot.  Seriously, millions of cookbooks sold.  Remember cookbooks?  Those recipe book things we used to use before foodnetwork[dot]com was invented.

3.  I own one necklace.  It was a gift.  Haven't worn it for about four years.

4.  Sorry, to all my tri-guys out there . . . Biker shorts on men [unless they are on the bike 100% of the time they are wearing them] make me c r i n g e
[Anyone see "Modern Family" Wednesday night?  Nuff said.]

5.  I [now] love that my birthday is in early January.  I just start my celebration on  New Years Eve and it lasts a solid 7 daysWorks for me!  I'm thinking I'll make it last until after Rock N' Roll AZ this year, what's an extra week and a half?!

6.  My name is Emz and I'm addicted to Costco.

7.  I still have lead stuck in the palm of my hand from 4th grade.

JC - the boy I liked for about 4 years, stuck me with it [accident].  Hurt like crap.  I remember sitting there thinking awesome.  Completely awesome.

Hmmmmmm, who to tag?!

* Julie @ Hotlegs Runner.  I just love saying, "hotlegs"
* Karen R @ Glass Slippers.  I mean look at that shoe.
* Q @ Q on the Move. The man puts screws in his shoes.  no joke.

I love your random tidbits! Funny about the arm crease. I love to sprawl my arms out too and hubs hates it.

First off, props to you and the mad photoshop skills!

And the Modern Family ep was awesome. Especially how they had the bike shorts pixalated (think I just made that word up?)

Yes, biker shorts are not flattering at all but when everyone is wearing them you just don't really care.

Oh I love, love, love these posts! You learn so much more about people then just how much they run, etc.

I still use cookbooks when I cook. There is nothing like a winter day/evening with the fireplace roaring, snow falling, and an open cookbook. I'll have to check out your mom's page.

I also have a lead mark on my hand from Jr. High. Those never go away. Don't be freaking out about the "arm creases". They are called wrinkles and everyone has them.

Emz said...

Tom - the "W" word.... That in and of itself freaks me out!! ;)

Thanks for playing along, you're a trooper. The thing about your arm "crease"; you're too funny. And I am totally reading through your Mom's recipes right now, she is amazing! Thanks for sharing that.

I love Modern Family!

Since there's a limited number of belt buckles you can wear at once, and I see more in your future, maybe you'll have a necklace of them in the future? That'd be one kickass necklace.

I loved Cam's blue riding shorts and how they blocked out his junk.

I also have lead stuck in me. It's on my inner thigh. Leslie W. gave me a piggy back ride when she had a sharp pencil sticking out of the back pocket of her jeans. Ouch for me and my inner thigh.

I think I just figured out this little dot I have had on my knee forever is a lead mark? not kidding

Lock on #4 I might post this post on the door to the Spin Studio at LTF :)

good thing it is most likely graphite and not Lead that has been stuck in ya all these years. If it was actual Lead you would really confuse us all the time and .... wait did you just convince me or confuse me .... I am confused now. More paint chips please? ;)

Emz said...

Slowmo - this can't be the first time?!
Confusing people makes me almost as happy as convincing them. ;) no shock there, I bet.

From one look at your mom's page I've already decided that if your mom were my mom, I would be eating and finding reasons to "drop by the house" all the time. I would also be 3x my size and in a constant state of hyperglycemia. Yum sugar.

Ha ha! My friend Natalie celebrates her birthday for a full month if she can get away with it.

Lead in your palm...

The silly things we do for love. ;)

Will Cooper said...

My lead is in my knee...from my sister stabbing me in 2nd grade.

Jennifer said...

I have pencil lead in my hand too. From 5th grade, the boy I liked turned out to a flake. Apparently he stabbed me for the fun of it, thought it would get my attention. The only one who gave him any attention was the principal. have a great weekend!

I almost was worried when I started the sentence of biker shorts, and I agree, only when you are biking, Phew!!!!

I keep my lead in my pencil.

You kill me.
I sleep with my arms tucked up over my head..I am surprised when i wake up with any feeling in them at all.

Quinton J said...

Kovas - Put that thing away. E...I can’t believe you posted those disgusting crevice wrinkles. Yuck! You should wear long sleeves ALWAYS!

I’m kidding…they’re kinda’ cute. You've got funny hang-ups. And did you draw that black circle highlighting the crease freehand? Impressive.

AM! said...

niiice post. love it!

and i think we all have that same elbow crease eh?

just cool list!;-)

Quinton J said...

Speak for yourself AM...I've got one crease and it's not on my arm.

I have big piece of pencil lead stuck in my left palm too, I know I got it in school but I don't remember how it happened.

Thanks for sharing your mom's website! now I can find some more recipes. I like the little skeleton cookies.

I agree with your comment about bike shorts...

Allie said...

I have a piece of lead in my right hand because some jerkwad stabbed me in grade school (don't remember the year), it was a Christian school too, I'm pretty sure he's going to hell.

Lucas R. Tucker said...

I googled and came up with a picture of a funnel cake!

I have lead in the back of my head from 5th grade where I was stabbed int eh bus by a 5 year old. lost all my hair for almost a year. It took med students to figure out how to treat it.

Emz said...

Ok guys......what is ut w/us & pencil lead?!

I thought this was a defining characteristic [sp?] for me?! ;)

Sammie Girl said...

I got with a pencil stabbed in my hand while I was attending Catholic School (it left a disgusting cut thing), I agree with Allie, the person who did it must be going to hell!!!
As far as the arm crease goes, since I am not married (or even dating for that matter) my poor innocent dogs get stuck with my arms and legs all over them! My great dane/lab get stuck with my leg thrown over him and my boxer puppy usually starts off using my arm as a pillow!

Biker shorts on guys. TMI being shown for me! ick

Of all the creases on your body to dislike..your arm. That's the best you got???

Courtney said...

I love Costco. Me and my husband go on Costco dates!

I have no lead in me! I was convinced that if you got stabbed with a pencil the lead would poison you enough to end up in the hospital.

Hate biker shorts on guys too... sorry... I know it is sometimes a necessary evil.

If you ever decide to actually wear a necklace, you let me know, and I will personally design and make one for you... free of charge... just for the entertainment you provide.

What? Nothing about a belt buckle?

Emz said...

Leslie - no way. Seriously?! You design one for me. Whatever you think "fits" this crazy running girl. But I'm paying. I mean you'll probably need counciling after reading my blog for 4 months.

Anonymous said...

Yep, I'm serious... I'll e-mail you when I get back from my art show this weekend. It can be running related or beaded (which my guess is, doesn't quite make a "fit" for you), or my specialty - chainmaille. Occasionally, we do have to take off our sweaty running pants and look decent for our men, even the PITA!

Emz said...

Lesley - you completely rock. So thoughtful. Thank you!!

Andrew Opala said...

Hey EMZ, another video for you here .

You crack me up, lady! First, THANK YOU for your kind words about the slower runner post this week on the Turtles blog. MUCH appreciated! And I appreciate that you take time to visit and be part of the Turtles Tribe, in spite of being a fastie. :-)

Now, on to your amazing facts. I'm LOL. Here's why:

I have a similar crease in the same place AND my Hubs hates my arm under his pillow. I don't even get there, so good for you!

We share a birthday month. Woo Hoo! Crazy girls... I should've guessed.

I LOVE cookbooks - have lots of 'em.

And... bike shorts. Ugh.

*hugs* from Orlando!

# 4 is totally reasonable and can I borrow your raft?

Emz said...

Patrick - yes. You may. Hoping the Barbie print won't distract you.

Only if it's flight attendant Barbie. Love that sh**

Bu bye now. Bu bye.
Bu buy now.

You bet cha!

That embedded lead reminded me of what my friend told me about one of the local barefoot runners. She said he had a rock stuck in his foot. At some point, he couldn't take the pain anymore so he cut open his foot to extract the rock.

I was so traumatized.

Emz said...

GG - get out. Omgosh. I'm traumatized too.
Sorry Angie B & Neil - can't do it.
