"Wonderful" - Gary Go

So today I woke up to this:

Which to this AZ girl is as close to heaven on earth as it gets.

I hurried and got my required training run done on my "ed" [treadmill]. Then I went and got my favorite neutered man, in my life.

And we went for a 2 mile run.

Well, actually he went for a 1 mile run and a 1 mile drag.   I went for a 1 mile run followed by a 1 mile bicep pull/jog.  Had a lady who was a passenger in a car role down her window and say, "well........this is the first time I've seen an owner run faster than their dog.  Way to go."  Ya.  awesome.

We arrive back at home and within 30 seconds, I see this.

Really Mase?  An ice cold bath after 2 miles?!  AZ dogs.

Lazy butt.

What I'm listening to . . . . I love this song.

Happy Hump Day!

Love the dog in the pool. Glad you got some "nice" Arizona weather. That's one of the things I'm looking forward to when we spend Christmas down there!

We had ice on the cars this morning! ugh

Thanks for the insight on my post today. I know Army son is a great person. As the worried mom, I just want to trust that he would only chose a great person to be with. Here's praying that in the years to come, I have to eat crow because they are blissfully happy!

that is about the same routine me and my dog do...1 mile sprint...1 mile drag behind me. love how he looks so chipper pre run and not so much afterwards. too cute!

I have a friend who has a stroller for her Shih Tzu. It was pretty embarrassing walking with her and her dog.

Haha poor dog! I bet you are loving the rain :)

Love that first picture of your dog! We do the same thing, drag the dogs...lazy, spoiled dogs!

WOOHOO for a cloudy day and a run outside (!!!) with the pup... with some bonus strength training too!

awww poor doggie! At least you run faster than your dog. Hmmm I wonder If I can out run my chihuahua? haha!

Shelly - thinking of you. :) I completely "get" it. trust me.

Adrienne - I'm coming over.

BML - I'm sure there is a time and place for a dog in a stroller . . . . . I just can't think of a time or a place that'd make that "ok". ;)

Hotlegs - well I can speak from experience. My Maltese can make it two miles without a hitch. He's crazy. My struggle with him is that he cannot for the life of him stay on one side. He goes right then cuts left then goes right . . .etc. I step on the dang thing every time.

Nothing snarky comes to mind. Glad you got off Ed and got outside.

He is so darn cute! My dog is now 12--he used to be a running partner, but now, not so much. I took him for about 20 minutes worth of running the other day and we had the same scenario--me dragging him.

That dog is beautiful! And smart...headed straight to the pool after. Love it!

You're dog's so cute, so endearing, so unfit. Love the picture of him in the pool.

Kovas - nothing? really? Nothing? awesome.

Char - I think you've summed it up - perfectly.

Now that is one smart puppy!

My dogs flatten themselves out on the cool tile floor after being outside. They can only run for about a block though!

Mase is my new favorite dog after my own of course...

Every time I see people running with their dogs I get jealous. I can't wait 'til I have the space for one. I need a run buddy. He's so cute!

Sarah said...

Poor guy! He acts like he was just neutered. Hahaha.

Emz said...

Jeff - awesome. Loved that.

Patrick - you want him. joke. joke. but you can have the indoor dog.

Kate - I'd borrow my neighbor's if I could. ;) Can you tell I'm not a dog lover.?! But Mase ---- he rocks. No one messes with me when I have Mase.

Sarah - and he has every day since he lost those bad boys. ;)

Mase sure is cute, if lazy.

Glad the weather was good for an outside run...give Ed a break. It's been so cold here in the mornings I'm looking into gym membership or finding an Ed all my own.

Did I miss something? Where did this dog come from? I thought u had a yappy white fur ball, not a big handsome boy. Sooo cute.

Karen R said...

See? You got your "boot" weather after all!

I love running outside. And no matter how many times you post about your treadmill miles, I will never understand how you run in place! :)

But when I am forced to do treadmill miles, I just think, "If I can have abs like Emz from treadmill miles, I'll run in place!"

Emz said...

Heather - agreed. It's my knees that hate the outside. UUUUURRRGGGG!!

Kelly - stupid pointless ball of fluff --- inside dog [maltese]
Super handsome, muscular meaty dog [pitbull-outside dog] my man. I love my "Mase-r".

Emz said...

Karen R - hilarious. Day. Made.
Still no boots buuuuuuuuuut ----- I did actually buy a sweet new black leather motorcycle jacket yesterday because it was under 90 degrees. YAY ME!!

Hope we have many, many more mornings like this . . . hey, one day I may even start running! :)

I run outside all the time but unfortunately can’t run with any of my dogs. They just don’t behave well enough for that. Love the dog in the pool!

Your dog is cute. :) Enjoy the rain!

Our dog was like that too but I think for him his wee brain could not wrap itself around doing the exact same thing for too long.
...and the taunting of the squirrels as we passed them didn't help.
Mase = cute.

Dark clounds in AZ, thats rare. Did you get the 3 min pouring of a bucket rain? then it stopped?

I love the ice bath taking puppy!!! Awesome!!!!!!

That dog is on to something... that's what we should all do after a run!

Sammie Girl said...

You want a good running buddy, borrow Charlie! For the first 4 miles we go his speed (when I run with him I see a HUGE increase in my speed) after mile 4 we go my speed, anything much after mile 6 I can’t stop of he will lay down and then it is a pain to get him moving again! And trust me, if I had a pool I would never be able to get him out (he tries to climb in the tub with me!)

I do have to say, Mase is a cutie!
