Freaking Friday Fabulous

Does anyone NOT like Friday?

Here's why I'm loving mine already.

Exhibit A:

Peanut has not yet asked for these.

It's probably just a  matter of time.  Unfortunately, I think they are sweet.

Exhibit B:

Long run . . . . . . done.
Fav music from today's run:
*Cinderella Man - Eminem
*Peanut Butter & Jelly - Cadillac Don & J-Money
*Pass out - Tinie Tempah
*Love The Way You Lie - Eminem
[ya, it was a bit of a happy/angry run day].

Exhibit C:
My favorite new cool down song.
Which is very important because I hate - hate - hate "cooling down" [almost as much as I hate stretching] with a passion.
Video is a little vivid - [was the only one without ads] may want to just itunes / google that. I believe in [full] disclosure. ;)

Exhibit D:

Happy got an iPhone for her Birthday.  So we did this while at lunch yesterday.

Exhibit E:
I am going to wear make-up today.  So I won't have to pose for photos like this.  I work from home - - - why wear make-up?!

........ and I don't even have a date tonight.  This make-up thing is big
people . .  b i g.

Exhibit F:
Seriously, who posses for a photo like this?

NON-Exhibit G:
Had the best chat with Peanut on the way to camp today
But out of no where she says, "mom, can you run as fast a car driving down the street we live on?  I know you can't run like the speed on a fast road but like our house road?"
Cracked me up.  She's been to 5 of my 6 marathons?!  She knows my speed/non-speed.

So [I'll throw myself under the bus here for you . . . ] I gave my Peanut my old iPhone for her b-day . . . . what?  I wanted the new one with all the problems.
Sooooo . . .  I told her to google "Usain Bolt MPH" ------- seriously the man super-human ran 23.35mph in the 2009 World Finals.

Insane.  Awesome.  Amazing what the body can do.

Yep, random.  Yep, that's me.

Happy Friday!!

I'm seriously in love with your blog. You crack me up. Your energy is probably a sin.
And I really, rally, really hate stretching, too, which is why my hamstrings look like...hams.

Let's see. I was totally psyched about my 16 miler until you killed a 20+. OK, that's just the jealousy coming out ...

I am totally grabbing 3 friends and recreating that TGIF photo. It's classic and the sequin tops. Fan-freakin-tastic!

p.s. I don't stretch. Ever. Yet, I tell all of my client to. whatever.

Non-Exhibit G cracked me up too...have a great weekend!

That TGIF picture is hilarious! Great job on the long run! Yay for Fridays!

Exhibit A - perfect gift once the birds and bees talk happens. Seriously, what guy is going to be that patient?

I'm ALIVE!

I don't know what you're talking about with that video. That's pretty much how every night is for me, Maxwell puts his hands between my legs and then I start to levitate. I thought that was normal??

Emz said...

Allie - you are too fabulous. Love it.

Jamoosh - how's "life". Just say no to "paris"

I love your random posts!

Wow, are those jeans and shoes all in one?!

I'm totally stealing some of those songs...and almost 21 on the treadmill? A girl after my heart! Have a blast wearing the makeup, I don't wear it much either and so when I do, I feel just wrong.

I dig those shoepants too :)
I love the hair and sequins in the TGIF photo.

Love that your daughter thinks you run as fast as cars! Does she read your blog? She'll be asking for those pants soon!

Great run today! I also hate stretching. I'm TRYING to love it because I need it. And, I think we should recreate the TGIF photo HA!
Yay, happy Friday!!

When I think about how I would look in those boots/pants/tights/whatever the heck you call them, I start to laugh hysterically.

Emz said...

We all seriously need to get together one day [Boston?!?! ;)] and take a photo like the TGIF. It's a must. Sequins and all.

Ajh - you bet she does. EVERY DAY! She come up with a lot of the ideas. She kinda {okay ...... REALLY} likes seeing herself on the blog. ;)

I hate stretching too.. I somehow make it so I can't find the time for it!! 20.83 is super impressive, especially on a treadmill! I don't know how you do it!!

Petraruns said...

Happy Saturday Emz - have a lovely one. Seriously do you ever not run 20M?

Amy said...

I love your randomness! 2.5 weeks of working with people in PUBLIC means 2.5 weeks of make up for me - I can't wait to get back to my home office!

Hope your great Friday turns into a great weekend!

Molly said...

you're a treadmill rock star.

Megan said...

I hate cool down too. I feel like there's no point. I'm walking around afterwards is that not cool down enough. But I'm paying for the lack of stretching after yesterday's 9miler.

Way to go on the long run...can't wait until I can say that my new little one has been to all my big races. I bet your peanut is proud every time she sees you cross the finish.

Ha! I can run as fast as my car... when it's stopped! Kids have the most amazing questions. Have a great week!

The 5 things that impressed me about this post:

1. The distance logged on that treadmill…astonishing…nuff’ said.

2. The music selection that you cooled down to (however, as Allie can prolly attest to…this music is best reserved for “Heating Things Up” and NOT “Cooling Things Down”.

3. The manner in which you rocked that wife-beater while standing by the computer. I would contend that after mastering a look like this….make-up would be a step in the wrong direction.

4. The way you posed for that TGIF photo as letter “G”. Wait…that’s not you holding the letter “G”? Never mind then.

5. The comment “Amazing what the body can do”…Because I still can’t figure out how you manage to run marathon distance without fueling with carbs.

Someday you and I are going to have a blog date and meet somewhere and be real life friends ( if you want to)'cause I think you're great. The end.

Ha Ha nothing a little eminem can't fix, I feel so bad ass listening to him, the more swear words the faster I run ;-)

Matty O said...

Wow, you are an R&B kinda girl? I LOVE LOVE LOVE running to Eminem. Interval days and any speed work, you bet I have the Ipod with Eminem tracks loaded.

Right on girl, 21miles on the dread mill, sheesh!
