Get up offa that thing . . .

After last weekend, I officially hate my bedroom.

I'm over it.  [well, I'm not] but I am over being sick already.

I did manage to score these Friday night.

Yay me!  Then the Pita & Peanut left for a daddy daughter night.  Boo me!  And I got to watch chick flicks with this guy:

Which was [super] weird because, I don't typically let him in my room.  The Pita later told me something about dogs can sense when someone is dying so that's why he wanted to be with me.  awesome

So Sunday night came.  I thought I was feeling a lot better so we turned on the jukebox.  The song that kept coming to mind:  Get up offa that thing . . . .and dance til you feel better.   [fail]

[in my case . . . . ]

Get up offa that thing and dance till you [have such a bad coughing fit that] you are dry-heaving.

[success].

I don't have time for this:

25 days until Top of Utah Marathon

AND

39 days till "Man against Horse" 50 miler

Heaven Help me. :)

Being sick is the pits! The special treatment and cozy time in bed and/or on the couch is only nice for about a day before it gets OLD! Hope you are back on your feet, bouncing off the walls soon!

Had to giggle at PITA's comment about the dog sensing death. :P

Here's to a quick recovery!

I'm sorry EMZ ... I really like you ... but I'm a guy ... and I'm starting to really like your husband's comments. It's about right on with what I say to my wife on some stuff.

You will kick human and horse a$$ on your runs. I am totally confident in that.

Here's a joke maybe you'll understand why some guys are the way they are.

One day an engineer was walking from his home to the laboratory and he noticed that a frog "seemed" to be following him. He picked the frog up and it started to talk. "I will grant you any wish you like if you kiss me." The engineer looked amazed at the frog and put it in his pocket. Then the frog started to squirm and he pulled it out and it said, "If you kiss me, I will turn into a beautiful woman, and will fulfill every desire of yours." He put it back into his pocket. The frog began to squirm again. Then the engineer took it out and listened once more to the frog, "If you kiss me, I'll become your girlfriend and I will do anything you wish, I will take charge or be passive, I will cook anything you want to eat, and we can go out as often as you want and your friends can come over and drink beer and you can play Wii." And the guy started to put the frog back into his pocket when the frog yelled "STOP! Why do you keep putting me in your pocket and not kissing me?" The engineer looked at the frog and said, "I don't have time for a girlfriend, but a talking frog is cool!"

ick on the coughing fit. What did the doc say???

Hopefully you get your clean lungs back with no wheezing or anything when you are running. Usually takes me 2 weeks to clear that crap out of my system to get a good clean run in.

50 miler... still can't believe you signed up HAHA. Good luck!

2nd on Q, you have a jukebox?!

Emz said...

Yes. Scored the jukebox at a bankruptcy sale.

Yay me!! Plays cd's. Makes for a fun night. [if you're not coughing your lungs up].

Awww, I'm so sorry that you are sick. :( Hurry and get better, looks like you've got some racing to prepare for!

That elevation profile from your last post would be enough to make me sick!

If you're dying, then I am too because I've got 2 dogs that won't leave my side..either that or I've got a really long tail with dog breath.
Praying for a marathon miracle for you!

I have a tendency to throw everything at a cold/flu/virus - chicken soup, advil, cough syrup, gingerale etc. Rest never helps me.
Feel better...I'm kind of glad I don't have a dog anymore..I'd be giving them the stink eye if they became clingy.

What chick flicks did you watch? Sorry you've been so sick! Did you know running in Washington is better for your health than running in Utah? Um, I read that somewhere. ;-D

Feel better soon! As for dogs sensing death, it's true. But they also sense sadness and if you are lonely. SO I say he was just trying to cheer you up! =)

You going through what I probably hate most in this world. I must admit I was lucky with being sick this year. Nothing too serious. I'm sure the forced rest will be beneficial when it comes to your races. Hang in there!
